Cliff notes:
1-Thanks Z.
2-We can have a glow tourny.
3-See me BJ.

I don't profess to know all there is about their mowers & mowing, but the tractor used for Flatrocks is dedicated to mostly Flatrock mowing. I think it's more of a bush hog than a mower. They've got mowers dedicated to their other parks that are more for cutting grass as opposed to fields. With holes. And rocks. Anyhow, the differential needs work on it, and the parks weren't going to budget for it. The grass would've ended up cut being less. You might've noticed a couple of Wednesdays ago it wasn't cut. That was cuz Jim Schaeffer, who does the mowing, was on vaca. Once he goes (and he's already retired once), or if that mower goes, it'll def. be cut less. Anyhow, that money was as much for greasing the skids as it was to fix a mower. It was also good to physically meet and sit down, as opposed to the phone/email thing. It's important for club members to maintain a good relationship w/the city. It also shows the parks we're serious about maintaining the course. I've seen a number of courses over the years taken out for various reasons, from Eastwood to Big Run to Jenny Whiley, those were all great courses too. BTW, they've had no complaints about the disc golfers (I asked) and seem generally happy w/the responsible disc golfers. They are quite impressed w/the lack of trash on the tees and fairways, that was nice to hear. (BTW, we got turned down last year, but we're allowed to have a glow tourny now-I specifically asked as I handed over the check! :-) ) If anyone has any interest in playing in or running a glow tourny, see me.
OK- there are at least 3 instances I'm aware of where acer's didn't pay their partner (this thread wasn't 'specially you Z, although I heard about yours first, a few others came out of the woodwork afterwards). One has been taken care of. Z, you're aware of the other two, and thanks for making yours right, I appreciate. That'll be two that are made right. BJ, hit me up 2 nite if you're there, I think I'll be present, if I see you I'll hit u up, we'll get that third one straightened out to, even tho it sounds historical. I talked w/your partner, he knows what the deal is.
As far as the payouts go, of your $3 you pay in, 2 goes back to payout, and one buck goes to the ace fund (you're automatically in the ace fund when you sign in, this prevents one partner from being in the fund and one not). Each of the dubs (wed. and sun.) has three $150 ace funds. Once those funds are full, then the buck goes to the club. For whatever, but mostly for maintenance. Running tournys and a membership appreciation day takes some of those funds too, although a well run tourny should increase the coffers.
As for the optional CTP, the money does go to the club, for the same as above, but it also includes buying discs for the future CTP's.
Again, maybe some of these rules need changed. I'm all for letting the acer make their own decision. I'm also OK w/5 bucks. I'm not OK w/mando CTP if it's only for disc (rarely is plastic I want in the CTP grab bag). I would be OK w/a mando CTP for cash (50/50, w/half the ctp cash paid out, half to club). I'm OK w/no free women, and I'm OK w/no seeding. Most of these things I'm OK with, I don't think everyone else is OK with. I make a motion for the club officers, and members present at a future meeting TBA, to revisit the rules for both Wed. and Sun. and evaluate whether they're still meeting the goals. During the meantime, rules are posted and ace funds are mostly full.
