Meeting Minutes
Meeting Attendees:

Treasury Report: John Hobbs not in attendance.
Renewals: Joe Grove and Nathan Allman renewed this month.
Old Business:
¡á Hunt will be sending out thank-you¡¯s to all those who have donated to the Frosted Flatrocks tournament.
¡á Alley park update: The demonstration will be held April 28th, from 5:30 -7:30. There will be snacks and drinks provided. Hunt is now looking into discs can be used to play with, as well as discs to be given out as prizes. There will be about 20-30 kids in attendance. He is also asking for volunteers. So far Josh Biter, Mark Boden, and Chuck Custer have volunteered. This will be held at Keller-Kern. We are hoping that this will open doors for discussions about setting up a temporary course at Alley Park.Chuck mentioned that we should look into getting paid for holding the demonstration.
¡á Hunt was recently discussing becoming a disc dealer as a club with a club leader from Canton. These can be used in CTP¡¯s, which will be held regularly.
¡á John Hobbs will be setting up internet access for our bank account. Hunt, John, and Lidya will have success to this information.
¡á Tee Pad Update: Chuck found three 4¡¯ x 12¡¯ pieces of rubber at about ¨ö¡¯ thick for $100. Chuck will buy two of them and install them on hole 1 and 11 for testing.
¡á Scorecards: Brian will contact Lancaster Parks and Recreation about more scorecards.
¡á Ken McCray witnessed a man taking pictures at the park from his car and when Ken approached he hid his camera. In other words, keep the alcohol and smoking discreet.
¡á LDGA Sanctioned PDGA C-Tiered Tourney: This was an idea tabled from February. Detroit reported that he has decided against holding the said PDGA sanctioned tournament, but will be holding a pro/long tee tournament in May. He plans on looking into new sponsors to assist with this tournament, and we discussed having designated sponsors for each tournament so that our current sponsors are not overused.
¡á Frenzy at Flatrocks Tournament: The frenzy will be moved up a few months rather than being held in November, although no date has been set. John Hobbs has offered to T.D. this event.
¡á Chuck will be doing a radio interview with Lancaster Parks director Mike Oberton that will be broadcasted on Friday, March 27th.
New Business:
¡á Frenzy at Flatrocks Tournament: The Frenzy at Flatrocks Tournament will take place August 29th. John Hobbs has volunteered to T.D. the event, and will begin pre-registration in June.
¡á LDGA Long Tee Tournament: Detroit will be hosting this event on May 23rd. He has been looking into new sponsors for this event, and Billy Crickets already gave us 12 $10 gift cards. We discussed tee-shirt and trophy production and costs, and who would pay for those. Detroit volunteered to pay for these out of pocket, but requested that the LDGA pick up the cost, and therefore the club would receive reimbursement from the registration fees. Detroit is waiting for the next meeting to make sure the payout is scripted so that no mistakes are made.
¡á Lyle requested resignation from the club board at the last meeting.
¡á Worlds Biggest Disc Golf Weekend: This is an event we will participate in next year, but will begin planning now.
¡á Hunt would like to get a sign for the course, and possibly place one at the bottom of the hill.
¡á Hunt is still looking for volunteers for the Alley Park Adventure Club demo Tues. night. So far Josh, Chuck, Keith, and Mark have volunteered. He also needs discs for the demo. Josh will bring extra discs for the kids to play with. Hunt plans on setting up shorter runs rather than have the kids play from the regular tees.
¡á Tee Pads Cost: Rubber tee pads: $33.00 per piece; Truckload of Gravel: $16 per two tee pads; 30 spikes for $12, with 8 per tee pad; Detroit is looking into getting someone to sponsor gravel for us. We now have approval from the Lancaster Parks and Recreation director Mike Oberton the continue placing the rubber tee pads on the course.
¡á Detroit announced Lancaster Parks and Recreation will begin selling discs at their office.
¡á Hunt is looking into free printed media from VistaPrint.
¡á Lidya Biter will deposit $144.50 into Chase.
¡á Eric Winegardner¡¯s bag tag needs to be changed; wrong name. Matt Young can be contacted about this. Lidya Biter will take care of this.
