Makes more sense that it is his preference and not just a permanent thing. People walking there dogs around the outside will be alot cooler too, so they will be the only one stepping in their own dogs dookie that they refuse to pick up!!

Extending the trail all the way around sounds like a great idea. Hopefully people will actually use it instead of cutting off the trail in the back around hole 5/6 and walking through 3 fairways on the way back to the parking lot. And like Zac said, hopefully that eliminates most of the dog $hit on the course. Seems to be a lot worse this year.

This past Sunday was mt 1st scramble in a long time. I have to say, the course looks great. The tee pads worked great and didn't slip at all, cause they were dry. Hole 15 and 8 look fantastic. I have to give credit where credit is due. Good job guys. Talmadge ran a great scramble and the course was kick a$$. I truly had a great time.

Would it be possible to get a new basket on hole one? Perhaps we could ask the city for some money to buy a new one? They must have a repair fund that isn't committed in their budget, or maybe Jan 1, 2010 they might have some new repair money. Maybe we could move the practice basket to hole one, and repair the removed basket. ( then use the repaired basket as the practice basket.) I do own a welder, I could weld the basket back on to the center support. It would be nice if the club had an extra basket in stock somewhere, so if one of the baskets failed, we would be able to drop it in fairly quickly. Also would be helpful to have the extra basket if we ever do the alternative pole positions.

I agree matt, allmost all our baskets need repaired or replaced. "ESPECIALLY HOLE 1" I say in Feburary when the club holds the FROSTED FLATROCKS. That insted of raising money for a food pantry or some poor family, to raise money for new baskets instead! Its time we start worring about ourself as a club and our own course for inprovements instead of someone else or some other organzation!!!

The park's director has been alerted to the downed tree on hole 3. Mitch said he is scheduling a crew to try to get to it this week.

Mr. Overton said he sent some help and they cut some logs. He wanted to know if we needed any logs hauled out of the course.

I heard yesterday that the basket on hole #6 was broke and laying on the ground via Eric Winegardner. Due to his quick efforts & Matt Young with the welding of the broken off bottom pole of the basket hole #6 will have a target before doubles today. Thanks M Young and Wine!
