I just received word that the Parks department is going to do a controlled burn at the Rocky Fork course in the fields to kill some of the weeds/thistles and try to get prairie plants established. This is good news. They also want to get some tee signs up.

I was asked to get measurements of the holes at Rocky Fork so that they can get tee signs. Of course when you measure you have to allow a few feet for human error, but here is what I came up with. Also I had to estimate the distance over the water on holes 9 and 11. I use a 100 foot tape measure. I secure the tape at the tee box, go 100 feet, put a flag down, walk back and get the first flag, walk it up to the mark, walk another 100 feet, go back get that flag, so on and so forth. It takes a while. I did the same at Paint Creek. Actually I measured Paint twice, once with Jay Wile and the second time by my self.
1 is 324 feet 2 is 464 3 is 223 4 is 237 5 is 199 6 is 308 7 is 263 8 is 264 9 is 426 10 is 316 11 is 171 12 is 219 13 is 245 14 is 271 15 is 300 16 is 251 17 is 227 18 is 274 Total is 4982 feet
