We are having a work day this coming Saturday, May 21st at Paint Creek. There is plenty to do. I think I have a crew coming in Friday to form some tee pads and we might pour concrete Saturday. Plenty of brush needs to be cleared out. Tree limbs need cut and hauled out. It looks like there will be a lunch provided. Everyone who helps receives a commemorative disc Spud designed. They were shipped today so I should have them by then. Be sure to check in at the camp store. You will need to sign a paper which gives you permission to work that day. Tony Mason and I are coordinating this together. Either find one of us or call me (614-395-1959) and we will put you to work. I will be there at 8:30am if not sooner. Bring proper tools and gloves if you have any. The store does sell snacks and such. They have some disc too. You might want to wear pants and bring a bottle of water you can take with you.

We had ten people show up for the work day. Me, Tony and Mike Mason, Dan Leeth, Adam and Aaron Gullett, Derek Bricker and three friends of mine that don't play disc golf, one who drove four hours to get here. We didn't get any tee pads poured but we cleared out some areas, cut some trees down and put in six sleeves. They had some machine there that mulches everything in front of it and it got stuck. They did pull it out but said it had to dry out before they could use it. The park VIP's provided a lunch and everyone received a Paint Creek stamped disc. Don

I will pay $50 to the person who can tell me who is breaking limbs and saplings at Paint Creek. If it is you, leave the course alone. Go somewhere else. You have no right to "trim" the course and if I catch you, you will pay. Leave the courses alone punk. I'm serious, keep your fingers off the trees or else you will get broken fingers. seriously.

I apologize for my words yesterday. I was mad. Please leave the trees alone when you are on any course. It is wrong to break limbs and such. Grow up. You are ruining it for everyone else. Please respect others property. It is great to have places to throw disc golf.

No apology required. You and others have put a great deal of work into the course and it's only logical that it would piss you off when some d!ckless turd comes around destroying a work of art.
That's probably the only anger I've ever heard from you Don. I believe that if they can draw that out of you, they deserve the "finger" treatment.

i dont know if one has to do with the other but what i saw today goes like this. we got to the course at about 10 after 7. just enough time to play 18 as it was getting pretty dark on 18. i don't know how many holes either party finished, but i saw not one, but two groups traversing the course in golf carts. after todays weather, i would imagine the wear and tear to be pretty noticeable. the last place i noticed a cart was in the 15/16 vicinity, maybe 9's pin??? as i was throwing on maybe 17?. . . i dont know the holes that well, in any case i waited for the friggin cart to quite Effing around so i could tee off. whether that was the previous cause of damage or not you can't tell me that along with leaving huge ruts they aren't going to whittle the fairways ever wider with that kind of BS.

Are you talking about golf carts at Paint Creek? I know the volunteers there use gaters to get around but I'm not aware of any golf carts. And was it young people or older people. Were they playing golf or just playing?

Not gators. They were golfing and traversing the course on golf carts
