I was out at the Flatrocks today and I was thinking that the bricks that mark the 5 and ten foot putting distance from the practice basket aren't used. I was wondering if we should eliminate those ( the 5 and ten distance) and put those bricks out at a greater distance. The distance numbers on all the bricks are wearing off, and the 20 and 25 foot distance markers have large gouges in the grass that make standing at the bricks feel off balance. Perhaps the entire set could be reset to move those heavily used spots around.

(*Late Reply*) Hey Matt!!
JB & I painted and installed those bricks in 2006. I agree that they are in need of some mild "respifferation", and maybe even repositioning come Spring of 2010, though I think they should remain at the established distances from the pin as they are.
The ones at 5' & 10' aren't just for the experienced golfers to ignore (or bemoan), they are there for beginners, mostly, as the practice ring is a reproduction of the PDGA-approved design, acknowledged by several different disc golf club sites. Several courses in OH have them similarly installed.
