im not saying you should or shouldnt raise the price, i just wanted to speak the idea that supporting a club is an investment that usually is very beneficial. even if the LDGA has the money for the teepad situation, you have to look to the future. there are plenty of places that are eroding and no longer holding grass, preventative maintenance is never a bad idea, and having club money set aside for things like, repairs of baskets, moving of baskets, b placements, erosion issues, or even A NEW COURSE.. is something that i dont see many people arguing with. as long as the club is accountable and responsible with the money, having it saved for future projects isnt a bad thing... especially if the club is who takes care of the course anyway. just because things are good now, doesnt mean they wil always be, things break and things need maintained, and everyone loves new courses.
if someone in lancaster gave you land today and said, you supply the concrete pads and baskets and you can use it for a course, wouldnt it be nice to have some money to get started right away? just a thought.

I'm fine with $5 if there is a defined project that the "improvement dollar" is going to. I think the ace fund should be optional though. You pay before the drawing so it's not like they can come back and put the dollar in if they get paired with a good partner. It shouldn't be too hard to put a * beside the name if they did or didn't pay.

Please don't raise the price to five dollars. Either go $3,$4,$6, $7, or some weird amount. If everyone brings five dollars bills, or tens or even twenties (because they think it will be easier bringing multiples of five), the split will become impossible without a cash drawer for every event. Making change on a first, second, third and fourth place pot that might be $14, $12, $10, $8, and $4 payout split between partners will not be easy with handfuls of fives or tens.
Hey... here is a thought, pass the hat each round on Wednesday. Say something like, "We need some money for tee pads, we are trying to raise 2000 dollars. Can you spare a bit to help out? Tell the people what you are going to do with the money, and I bet the money will be given. Put a little sign on the bulletin board that shows how close we are to our goal.

I think we should do a new payout sheet.. I think when you only have 25 or so peopel show up then 6 places that is is just not really worth it.. Winning 6th place and winning 2 dollars back... LAME I mean like a 1st 2nd or 3rd nomatter how many people show up should be the way it is.. I mean everyone has a chance even if your a brand new player thats never been there before.. Cause you do seat the pro's and its all just a random draw.. I just feel and imagine alot of other people do also that bigger payouts should be awarded then 24 dollar split MAX OUT!

When 25 people show only four places are paid. 20, 14, 10, 6. Six places aren't paid until 35 people show. The idea has always been to pay 1/3 of the field.
Interestingly, if the cost was raised by one dollar, toward the pot, the split would be something like 30, 20, 14, 11 for 25 people.
Interesting because three dollars to the pot will cause one of the pairs to win an extra dollar because the total is an odd number. The TD will need some quarters.

Why don't you make one Jeff? It's not as easy as you think and it's all about placing in the money, not the amount. The way I did the matrix is pretty fair.

I would make one but its pointless cause it would never get posted up and used cause im not a board member.. MAby u and a few others out there might not really care all about how much money.. But i bet if u took a vote there would be more people that would want more money and less places then 6 places and 2 dollars.. I just think nomatter how many people come 3 places should be paid thats how i feel.. I kno obivous its not my decesion but its just my thought.

So if 50 people show up they should only pay 3 outta the 50? Get a job.
I'm not a board member and my newest matrix is the one posted.
It's a $3.00 entry with a $2.00 payout for each entry. How much do you want? Anyways, if you want your voice to be heard go to an LDGA meeting and let them know how you feel. All members have a vote and a right to express their opinion.
So if we cut out 3 places on a typical night that would be an extra $18.00 to split between the top 3. So wow, you may get 30 for 1st instead of $20.00. Thats $15.00 after the split and you managed to leave out 6 other people. Your the man Brock

Posted by* JefferyBrock in wrong tab...(March Madness)
I cant go to a meeting cause im not a LDGA member anymore.. "To Much Drama For Me" That was just a opinion i had cause i hear people talk about it all the time on the course and i just thought i would post it up...
But yea even if 50 people show up 3 places should be paid with a higher payout.. I mean in the olympics just cause more people qualify on record times and get to enter the event doesent mean they will give out more then Gold Bronze and silver in the winnings...
Like i said it just a thought .. if noone like it then scratch what was ever wrote

I knew you wouldn't back it up Brock. You wanna play for more money, but aren't willing to put up a lousy $20.00. I'm down for a 9 hole $20.00 a person round Sunday. Whos in? Lets get it on
